Air purifiers remove up to 99 percent of all airborne particles in a room including: dust, mold spores, pollen, pet dander, smoke, etc. But… most of them have filters that cost an arm and a leg to replace. The three products above have permanent / cleanable filters.
While they may not filter that last half-a-percent of airborne particles, they are much less expensive than true HEPA filter systems (especially when you factor in the maintenance costs). The high end systems will cost anywhere from 3 to 10 times as much over a 5 year period. The purifiers listed here afford you the luxury of being able to buy more than one to put in other rooms such as: bedroom, children’s, living room, kitchen, bathroom, etc.
The Bronze medal winner is somewhat different in that it uses activated Oxygen (Ionization) to clean the air, and is ultra-portable for traveling (fits in the palm of your hand).
